For investors
You already know what you buy. Tell us, and we send what fits.
Family offices, private equity and independent sponsors, and individuals buying for their own account. You see what clears your box and nothing else. We look at what you pass on, you look at what we pass on, and neither of us spends a call on a bad fit.
Who this is for
Three kinds of buyer, and they want three different things.
This is the profile of who is already in the room. If you recognise yourself in one of them, the rest of the page is written for you.
Family offices
Buying for the balance sheet on their own timetable, with no fund clock forcing a decision by a quarter end. Patience is the advantage, and it only pays if the flow is real.
Private equity and independent sponsors
Firms we trade deals with. You see what we passed on and could not use. We see what you passed on. Nobody gives up anything they wanted.
High-net-worth individuals
The next executive: tired of building someone else's company, with the operating record to run what they buy and the capital to buy it. They are not looking for a portfolio position. They are looking for the one.
The professional with capital: a doctor, say, who has already invested in everything that can be bought on a screen. A cash-flowing business is the part of the market they cannot reach without someone in it.
How it works
A mandate, not a mailing list.
Four steps, and the first one is the one most people skip.
You tell us what you buy
Sector, size, geography, control or minority, and the things that rule a target out for you. The exclusions are the useful half and almost nobody leads with them.
We send only what clears it
If nothing clears your box this month, you hear nothing from us this month. That is the product. A list that sends something every week is a list that stopped reading your criteria.
You get the read, not just the teaser
What the numbers say, where the business depends on the person selling it, and where we think it breaks. Including the deals we are passing on and why, because that is the part that tells you how we look at anything.
It runs both ways
Send us what does not fit your box. A deal that is wrong for you is often right for somebody else in the room, and the same is true in reverse. That is the whole reason the room exists.

One card raised. The rest stay where they are.
What this is not
No fund. No pooled vehicle. No capital call.
Worth stating plainly and near the top rather than in small print, because the words “for investors” usually mean the opposite of what they mean here.
We are not raising money
There is nothing to subscribe to and no vehicle to join. You buy on your own account, in your own name, with your own counsel and your own diligence.
We do not syndicate
Collecting small cheques from a long list is a real business and it is not this one. On a larger transaction FM may take a lead position alongside a buyer, which is a different arrangement and is discussed deal by deal, in writing, not on a web page.
We are not your advisor
FM Enterprises is not a registered broker-dealer, investment advisor or financial planner. What you get here is a buyer’s read on a business from someone who buys businesses. It is not a recommendation, it does not replace your own diligence, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security.
Start with the box
Send us what you buy. We will tell you honestly whether we see any of it.
If we do not, that is the answer, and you will not hear from us again until we do. Holding something that does not fit your own box? That goes to deal flow instead.
